Our Advice
Patch Test
We recommend making a skin patch test before using any skin care product, especially if you have sensitive skin. It is a simple method where you take a small quantity of the blend and apply it to sensitive areas of the body like the inner wrist, inner elbow, and the backs of the knees. If there is no reaction, like dermal irritation or itching, within 12-24 hours of application, you can safely proceed to using the product. Even though essential oils are very safe to apply, they are potent plant substances, which might cause sensitization. We are absolutely strict to maximum concentrations allowed, still every person has different levels of sensitivity and at certain moments a reaction is possible due to external circumstances like food, pollution, etc.
Patch test is recommended for any skin care product you use, especially hair dyes.
Storage
Sun, light, and heat strongly influence plant oils quality. Store at room temperature, out of sunlight and heat. In hot days we recommend keeping them in the fridge to prolong shelf life.
Close tight after use to minimize contact with oxygen, which is also a major aspect for lipids quality.
Pregnancy
Since essential oils are highly potent, we do not advise using blends during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Although it is considered that usage is safe after first three months of pregnancy, we encourage to continue application after you stop breastfeeding.
Protecting the Kids
Keep away from children. Being always curious, they are ready to try anything mum and Dad use, yet oils are definitely for the adult use.
The same goes for the loved pets. Even diffusers, which freshen the air, should be used carefully when kids and pets are around.
